Bringing you up to date

Now the more up to date news, Abigail is sitting up. Really, it makes me cringe because it means she'll soon be mobile, but I'm excited and glad for her development! She's also starting to eat baby food and so far, likes peaches, bananas, and sweet potatoes. Of course I started with the more yummy things. We've also (finally) transitioned to 3 naps. Sometimes that ends up being 2. Either way it is better than 4 or 5 1 hour naps!
Abigail loves to read books, and slobber on them.

This is her during a nap. Don't worry, the blanket has lots of holes and is very breathable!

Sitting up!

She can sit up for a few minutes at a time now.

This was when she had just started eating oatmeal.

The one where I drove by myself

In all my many trips to Utah, I have never driven by myself. So, naturally, I decided to make the trek with a baby. That's not alone, right? Luckily for me, Abigail is such a good baby! It did take us quite a bit longer to get there since we had to stop to eat every 3-4 hours, but all in all, it was a good trip. We went to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday! While we were there, Abigail got to meet a lot of my family, including her great grandma Knight, and all of our friends! Here are some pictures from that trip. juijki - a message from Abigail who is sitting on my lap:)

Catching up...

Since the last time I posted anything worthwhile, we've been up to lots!

At the beginning of March we took a trip to California! We went to Oakland to visit Sean's mission. It was a lot of fun, and I met some of the families he taught. I think Sean really enjoyed being back and remembering his time there. We also got to go sight-seeing in San Francisco. Since it was out of his mission boundaries, Sean had never been to San Fran before. We went to Alcatraz,

(on the boat to the island)

(Sean in front of the Morgue)

The Ghirardelli factory,

Lombard street,

The Winchester Mansion,

The Oakland Zoo,

The Oakland Temple,

The Golden Gate Bridge,

and the Jelly Belly Factory.

After Oakland and San Francisco, we drove up to Chico to see my Grandparents so Abigail could meet them, and my mom and sister joined in on the fun. We had a good time!

Going private

Sorry it has taken me sooo long to update the blog. I know some of you are wanting to see new pictures of Abigail, but I've been a little turned off about just how public these blogs are as of late. Considering we've had more page views from Russia than the US in the last 2 weeks, and the want to keep my daughter safe and her life out of the public eye, I've decided to make the blog private. Hopefully doing so will increase my want to post and share what we have been up to!

If you'd like to continue reading our blog, leave your email in a comment, and I'll make sure to add you to the VIP list:)   Thanks for being understanding (even though I'm probably just being paranoid)!

Pictures!

We really have not been up to much except the little one, so I thought I'd just throw some recent pictures on here.

This is the first picture I got with her smiling!!!

Is it mean of me to take a picture when she's crying...?

If so, then I'm a horrible mother:) But doesn't she look so big in the rocking chair?

Taking a nap with Daddy.

Snuggling with her elephant in the car seat.

She's getting better at holding things, and when she actually holds on, it goes straight to the mouth.

Another good example of that.

The other day I was showing Sean a picture I had taken of her, and he said, "I hope you are going to take as many pictures of our other kids as you do of her". I can't help that she's so cute, and that it needs to be documented!

We did, actually, go on a real date. One where we paid a babysitter (no matter that it was her uncle..) for Valentine's day. We went to lunch at the Melting Pot and then the temple.

Oh. and Sean's brother, Stuart, got home from his mission in Switzerland. We've enjoyed having him home, and not just for babysitting!
