Flashback to September

I realized I never posted about Abigail's birthday party!

We had the party at the Robison's house. My mom and sister came to join the celebration, too!
She was a little cautious at first. (Levi must have warned her about ice cream...)

But pretty soon she was pretty comfortable with it.

and in it!
She got a lot of presents; new clothes and new toys, and even an Abby Cadaby towel with her name on it!

Playing catch-up

Rather than boring you all with a lengthy post all about our last 3 months, I thought I'd just post the pictures with captions instead. Isn't that the best part of the post anyway?!

I can't remember when this was, but it was Abby's first time playing in the snow. It didn't last long.
Abby did not like Santa this year. Also, the lady at Bass Pro told me she got a good picture before she started crying. Hmm..
She's started standing up by herself, and does pretty good at it, but still refuses to walk!

In December, we got a puppy. Her name is Zoey, and she's a lab/border collie mix. She's a lot of trouble, and much bigger than the lil' pup she is in this picture.

She sat in Abby's lap almost all the way to her puppy class this morning. Abby loves her, and I think deep down she loves Abby too, but she has a funny, puppy way of showing it. We just got a head collar today, and that thing is amazing! She's so much calmer already.

Also in this picture, you can't tell, but Abigail's feet touch the seat and then some. I think we're going to be turning her around pretty soon!
Abigail got a baby stroller from Santa this year. I think this is suppose to be an excited face!

She also got the Little People princess castle complete with all the princesses from her Grandma Knight and Aunt Sarah and Uncle Adam. She looooves it. It sings, and she sings with it!

She's learned about wearing sunglasses, including Mom's.

Her hair is getting so long, and it actually a lot curlier than it looks in this picture.

We went to the Denver Zoo on one of their free days. It just so happened to also be one of the coldest and snowiest days of the season. We bundled up to see all the animals! Abby loved seeing all the different kinds of animals.

A cute dress she got from her great- Grandparents. Also a debut of our new couch.

She loves climbing in and playing in this little cabinet we have as a entry table. It also happens to be the first piece of furniture Sean and I bought together from the DI in Provo:)

Things we don't have pictures of:
  • Thanksgiving. We had it at our house, and it was the first time we've cooked a turkey! It was good, just a little dry.
  • We went to California the first week of December to visit my Grandparents. Abby was the main attraction and never failed to entertain.
  • We don't have a lot of Christmas since I had to work. We opened presents with Abby on Christmas Eve, and then Sean and Abby spent Christmas day with his family. We also got to spend a lot of time with Uncle Owen, and got to see Derek and Carly!
  • The stock show and rodeo. Pretty self-explanatory, but was a lot of fun!
  • My birthday. Low key with the fam.
  • We have now met all of the families in our ward that live in our neighborhood! It's nice knowing there are so many, so close!
  • Our finished fence.

The house

Several people have asked to see pictures of the house, so I thought I'd take you on a little photo tour!

Here it is! The yard needs work, but we'll wait for Spring!

This is the view from the front door.
The living/family room

View of the kitchen from the garage door. To my right is the half bath. To my left is the pantry. One of my favorite features of the house! I might also mention that we do not regularly eat off a card table. Sean is in the process of painting our table, so the card table is our fill in:)

Pantry. Full after my shopping escapade.
Our lovely orange bathroom. That will be changing come Spring also.
Our 3 car garage. Still needs to be organized, but Sean will be building shelves to do so.
This is my "domain" as Sean likes to call it. But I looove my washer and dryer (especially that I don't have to share it or feed it quarters!) so I don't mind doing laundry. This is down in the basement, and I guess I didn't take a picture of the rest of the basement. But, if you use your imagination, it's concrete with a beam in the middle, and two windows.

Here we are upstairs. This is Abigail's room. It is actually the biggest room the house.

Another view of her room, and the little one!

Our bathroom. How exciting.
Our bedroom. We haven't moved any of our furniture up yet. We don't normally sleep on the floor. Although it's not half bad, at least you can't really fall off!
There is also a third bedroom which we will use as an office/guest room/craft and sewing room. However, it is the last to be unpacked and organized. Therefore, I'll save you the trouble of looking at it. The backyard is pretty big and needs even more work than the front. But that will have to wait till Spring also.
We really enjoy having our own place and some extra elbow room! Abigail loves being able to crawl around everywhere without me telling her "no". She also loves to climb up the stairs, and she's pretty good at it!

August

We've been busy the last couple months, so here's a catch-up of August.

Abigail and I went to Utah for my cousin Katie's wedding. They got married in the Manti Temple, in the same sealing room Sean and I got sealed in. It was a nice reminder of where we were almost 4 years ago.  I seem to not have any pictures. Either that or they're hiding on the computer. We had fun hanging out with Aunt Sarah and my cousins, aunts, and uncles. We also went to the Brigham City Temple open house. It is so pretty and very unique.

Later in August, we went to visit Grandma Knight at her house. Abigail learned how to clap really well while we were there. She also said "itty" when she saw my mom's cat, Sammy. She definitely got spoiled with new clothes and toys. She even got a Build-a-Bear as an early birthday present from my mom.

This is them at the Build-a-Bear factory. She really loves her bear!

She makes this face a lot:)

I got her this little car from the thrift store and she loves it.

I can't even remember what I was doing to make her laugh, but she was laughing really hard!

July

I think it is easier just to write once a month and catch up, than it is to remember to write more often.

July was a busy month for us! We started out the month by going camping with our friends Derek and Carly. I'm not sure why, but I don't have a lot of pictures from the trip. Even though we couldn't have a fire (because of the fire ban), it was still a lot of fun. We went on a hike around the lake, and by the end, Abigail was very tired.
This was her at the beginning of the hike.

and this is her at the end.

Sunset at the end of our hike.

She's getting better at making messes. Either that or I'm getting used to just letting her make a mess.

She likes to read books. She learned how to flip the pages by herself. By the way, look how tan she is! She definitely got her dad's olive skin.

She got some new blocks and thinks it's fun to knock them over. She also has long enough hair for a ponytail! (I had already taken out the rubber band if you're thinking it looks funny). and look at those teeth! Her top two are starting to come in, too.

She's (usually) a happy baby!

I love these blocks. There's a house block, a barn block, a fence, playground, silo, and the letter blocks all have farm animals or farm related things on them.
